Abstract:Estimation of stress and geomechanical properties of anisotropic fractured reservoirs is a critical issue during oil & gas field development. Since the seismic data is sensitive to these properties, studies of the variation of Pwave reflection coefficients with azimuth in a horizontal transverse isotropic (HTI) media can be applied to obtain fracture properties and extended to estimate the in-situ principal stresses. Therefore, considering the Rüger reflectivity approximation for HTI media, we employ a seismic… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
