“…The study involved premenopausal women (based on regular menstrual cycles and follicle-stimulating hormone less than 20 mIU/mL) with the following characteristics: 30 to 45 years of age, a body mass index between 18 and 35 kg/m 2 , diminished sexuality (Sabbatsberg Sexual Self-Rating Scale 15 score less than 42 16 ), no evidence of severe clinical depression on the Beck Depression Inventory (score less than 28), 17 and early morning serum total testosterone of less than 2.2 nmol/L.
