This study aims to determine the effect of RADEC learning model on the ability to write exposition text of X-grade students of SMA Negeri 11 Medan. The subjects in the study were students of class X SMA Negeri 11 Medan with a sample of 36 students. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling. The method used was experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design. The results of the study before using the RADEC learning model obtained an average of 64,58. The results after using the RADEC learning model obtained an average of 80,89. The pretest-posttest normality test results prove normal distribution, as well as the homogeneity test which proves that the sample is from a homogeneous population. After that, it is known that the tcount is 9,11. Furthermore, the value was consulted at a significant level ? = 0,05 with dk n-1 (36-1) = 35, obtained t table = 1,68. Thus it can be concluded that tcount> ttable is 9,11> 1,68, so that the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant effect of using the RADEC learning model on the ability to write expository texts of class X SMA Negeri 11 Medan students in the 2023/2024 learning year.

Literacy is one of the important things to be cultivated from an early age, because with literacy the window of the world will open. This research was an effort to foster literacy from an early age through the development of the Radec Learning model at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The purpose of this research was to produce a product in the form of developing a learning model using the Radec Learning model. The method used was Research and Development (RnD) to produce certain products and test the effectiveness of these products by adapting the McKenny Model as a stage consisting of preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment stage. The results of this study included: 1) The development of the Radec Learning model was significantly proven to be able to develop students’ learning outcomes at MIN 1 Pasaman; 2) This Radec Learning model was declared valid after being validated by the validator; and 3) There was a practical level of practical application of the Radec Learning model, with evidence of its development and increasing student creativity in learning. Thus, the application of the Radec Learning model of learning could develop literacy from an early age and as an alternative in the selection of learning models that would be applied in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC berbantuan video animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas 3 sekolah dasar. Uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal, sementara uji homogenitas varians memastikan bahwa varians antar kelompok homogen. Uji-t berpasangan mengkonfirmasi adanya perbedaan signifikan antara skor pre-test dan post-test, dengan nilai t = -15,903 dan signifikansi 0.000 < 0,05. Nilai N Gain 0,75 yang dapat diklasifikasikan meningkat dengan kategori tinggi dari intervensi ini. Model RADEC, dengan tahapan Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, dan Create, terbukti efektif dalam mendorong pembelajaran aktif, meningkatkan pemahaman materi, dan mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Integrasi video animasi dalam model RADEC juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam memotivasi siswa dan membantu mereka memahami konsep yang kompleks. Penelitian ini menambah bukti empiris mengenai efektivitas model RADEC berbantuan video animasi dan memberikan rekomendasi bagi penerapan pendekatan ini dalam konteks pendidikan dasar.
