The Influence of Self Esteem and Body Image on the Mental Wellbeing of University of Ghana Students

Abstract: This study was aimed at assessing the influence of body image and self-esteem on the mental well-being of students at the University of Ghana. Responses were collected from a total of 80 students. Results of the study indicate that there existed a very weak negative correlation between self-esteem and body image showing that there is not enough evidence to conclude that self-esteem is a good predictor of body image.
