The influence of the residual copper on the pipes steel hot plasticity according to environmental requirements

Abstract: Considering the importance of gaseous and/or liquid fuels impact on the environment, the resistance of pipelines at hot plastic dejbrmation is important. Therefore, in order to avoid or reduce any adverse impact on the environment, the influence of residual copper on hot deformability of steel pipes was investigated in this paper. The negative copper influence was experimentally proved using torsion deformation at temperatures above 1000", under the air and argon atmosphere. The samples were heated and then de… Show more

“…Therefore micro alloyed steels are used to obtain high tensile strength combined with good toughness. In addition to achieving an optimum ratio between strength and toughness characteristics by the use of fine grain size can be obtained increasing the weld ability of the steel by lowering the carbon content to achieve the same level of tensile strength [1,9,[11][12][13].…”

“…Experiments realized aiming at establishing the parameters of the thermal treatment with the main objectives: using the steel brand for the production of the pipe quality; insurance limit of flow corresponding to a pipe quality for a number as large a sample of the same steel brand and the same thermal treatment. This is justified by the fact that, depending on the situation of the supply of semi-finished products, the realization of any samples not prejudiced [8,25].…”
