The emergence of "experience" as another forms of business offerings (Pine and Gilmore, 1999) and the failure of implementing customer relationship management to create the expected levels of value for customers and profitability for organizations (Palmer, 2010;Barnes, 2002) have prompted the practitioners and academic scholars to explore the successor of customer relationship management, which is known as customer experience. Pine and Gilmore (1999) asserted that companies need to create memorable experiences to each customer for the purpose of generating greater economic value in the experience-based economy, instead of simply making goods and delivering services to the customers (Kim, Cha, Knutson and Beck, 2011). For the purpose of creating differentiated and memorable customer experience, this research paper would like to evaluate the direct and indirect relationship between social environment and customer experience (including sensory experience, emotional experience and social experience). A total of 330 respondents participate in this research. The findings revealed thatsocial environment is related to the sensory experience and emotional experience respectively.Furthermore, the research findings also concluded the interactive relationships between the dimensions of the customer experience: (1) the sensory experience is positively related to the emotional experience; (2) the emotional experience is positively related to the social experience; and (3) the sensory experience is positively related to the social experience.

Tshernobylin ydinvoimalaonnettomuus vuonna 1986 oli haastava kriisi hallittavaksi Suomelle, sillä maalla oli onnettomuuden tapahtumahetkellä poliittisesti virittyneitä kytköksiä neuvostoliittolaiseen ydinvoimateknologiaan. Tämä edellytti tapahtuman käsittelyssä ja tiedottamisessa ulkopoliittista herkkyyttä. Tosin reagointi Tshernobylin tapaukseen ei ollut ongelmatonta muuallakaan Euroopassa onnettomuuden totaalisesta yllätyksellisyydestä johtuen. Valmistautuminen tapahtumien käsittelyyn oli kokonaisuudessaan puutteellista ja radioaktiivisen laskeuman seurauksena Eurooppaan iski informaatiokatastrofi. Suomessa viranomaiset yrittivät luovia tapahtuneesta mahdollisimman huomiota herättämättömällä tavalla, mikä aiheutti eurooppalaisella media-agendalla syytöksiä suomalaisen tiedotuspolitiikan jähmeydestä. Aikaisemmin Tshernobylin ydinvoimalaonnettomuuden kriisiviestintää on tutkittu Suomessa erityisesti valtion keskushallinnon ja paikallishallinnon tiedottamisen näkökulmista sekä Suomen ulkopuolella Euroopan eri maiden perspektiivistä. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastellaan, mitkä taustatekijät vaikuttivat Tshernobylin onnettomuuden jälkeiseen viranomaistiedottamiseen Suomessa. Tapahtumien kulkua kuvaillaan artikkelissa tiedottamisen politisoitumisena, ilmiönä, jossa onnettomuudesta ei ilmoitettu aiheutuvan kansalaisille havaittavaa haittaa.

This paper reports on a study of the portrayal of accidents in the mass print media magazines available in Canada and published in Canada or the USA in 1991. Through content, frame and discourse analyses it describes 'factual' and narrative stories of accidents. Narrative articles are subdivided into accidents occurring to an individual and those occurring to an aggregate. Stories of individual accidents reflect different discourses than those of group accidents. Individual accidents are described as terrible things that sometimes happen to good people who then overcome the tragedies to become better people. Group accidents underscore the frustration, fear and the powerlessness of individuals who try to deal with corporations and governments who have responsibility for the causation of the accidents. The article ends by theorizing these findings in the context of the indemnification of the individual in the modern risk society.
