Leadership drives the dynamics in every business organisation and its effectiveness is directly proportional to performance. Alternatively, the effectiveness of any business organisation hinges on leadership. The dynamics within societies mirror what pertains to business organisations. Societies are becoming very diverse due to the ease with which individuals move from one place to the other. It is therefore critical to ensure the effective management of diversity and inclusion in organisations and societies. In this regard, leadership and diversity management are essential for the management of business organisations. Additionally, the high degree of diversity currently found within societies requires the alignment of diversity and inclusion concepts and leadership strategies. The outcome would likely create cohesiveness and it will translate into efficiency and profitability in organisations. This chapter seeks to explore the nexus between leadership (transformational leadership) and diversity and inclusion concepts (socio-construct diversity framework) within organisations. An in-depth literature review was employed in this chapter, enforcing the argument that competent leadership (transformational) may be undergirded by effective diversity and inclusion management in organisations. The intellectual puzzle driving this chapter is how leadership is driven by a socio-construct diversity framework in organisations.
