Abstract:The lattice dynamics of perovskite oxides are investigated theoretically within the polarizability model which is a nonlinear approach taking into account anharmonic electron-lattice interactions. The emphasis is on local lattice anomalies which appear in the phonon modes dispersion. Above the actual phase transition temperature finite size polarized clusters appear at an onset temperature TBH which marks the precursor formation temperature. These local anomalies appear as well experimentally and are reviewed… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
