The investigation of supply chain's reliability measure: a case study

Abstract: In this paper, using supply chain operational reference, the reliability evaluation of available relationships in supply chain is investigated. For this purpose, in the first step, the chain under investigation is divided into several stages including first and second suppliers, initial and final customers, and the producing company. Based on the formed relationships between these stages, the supply chain system is then broken down into different subsystem parts. The formed relationships between the stages are… Show more

“…Sardar Donighi and Khanmohammadi (2011) presented a new model which the reliability of components is as fuzzy set. Taghizadeh and Hafezi (2012) investigated the reliability evaluation of available relationships in supply chain which is suitable for computing reliability of supply chain for organizations. Abouei Ardakan and Zeinal Hamadani (2014b) and Ardakan et al (2015) proposed a new redundancy strategy called mixed strategy which uses both active and cold-standby strategies in one subsystem simultaneously.…”

“…This approach focuses achieving the target and customer satisfaction. Moreover, Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model is used to evaluate the relationship between supplier, manufacturing and customer in order to measuring the performance more detail into activity of business process [18]. These methods are used to measure supply chain performance and support problem solving of supply chain cases, however the advantages of the methods depend on the scope of the problem.…”

“…Kim and Geshwin (2005) proposed a new model for machines with both quality and operational failures and developed a Markov process-based method for performance analysis of production systems consisting of such machine. Taghizadeh and Hafezi (2012) used supply chain operational reference for investigating the reliability evaluation of available relationships in supply chain. Tan (1999) proposed a method to calculate both average and variance of transient throughput by further assuming that the series system at steady-state is in an irreducible Markov chain.…”
