Abstract:As one of the most significant disturbance sources in the upper marine environment of the South China Sea, tropical cyclones (typhoons) serve as a typical research subject for investigating the energy transfer process between the ocean and atmosphere. Utilizing satellite remote sensing data and focusing on Typhoon Rey No. 22’s transit event in 2021, this study quantitatively analyzes typhoon-induced energy input through heat pumping and cold suction at both surface and subsurface levels of the ocean.
