Abstract:Multiple scattering of sound by a population of particles attracts scientific interest for many decades. In contrast-enhanced echography, the simulation of ultrasound propagation through a dense cloud of nonlinearly oscillating microbubbles imposes a numerical challenge. This is particularly the case for polydisperse concentrations in which each scatterer has individual and independent properties. To address this problem, the Iterative Nonlinear Contrast Source (INCS) method has been adapted. Originally, this … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
