Purpose This study aims to appraise the historical evolution of tourism research focused on Spain. Firstly, an analysis was conducted to assess the production and impact of research within this domain. Secondly, scientific mapping, specifically through co-word analysis, was used to identify and explore the principal research themes and their evolution in the field. Design/methodology/approach A historical approach was adopted in this study, using 1,100 bibliographic records obtained from the Scopus database. Science mapping was then conducted through co-word analysis of bibliographic data. Findings The results of the performance analysis provide insights into the volume, evolution and impact of the scientific documents published within the research area under investigation. Moreover, by adopting a longitudinal approach, science mapping through co-word analysis enables the definition of the intellectual structure within this research domain. In this regard, the main research themes are identified, conceptually assessed, and their evolution is examined across three distinct window periods: an initial research period (1972–2002), a growing research period (2003–2012) and a consolidation period (2013–2022). Originality/value The study provides a state-of-the-art position on tourism research related to Spain thus guiding future studies in the area. Furthermore, this study provides a comprehensive “snapshot” of the historical progression of tourism research in Spain, capturing the emblematic aspects that have emerged within the area over the investigated time period.

This study examined the role of responsibility and authority in professional success, alongside considerations for job innovation and corporate responsibility to bridge academic learning with workforce demands. This tracer study on Bachelor of Science in Business Administration graduates in Divine Word College of San Jose academic year 2018 -2022 aimed to assess the employment outcomes, present status, and opportunities faced by 67 BSBA graduates using descriptive-correlational design and modified-adapted questionnaires. The findings of this study revealed that in terms of their present status, business graduates secure a job both in the government and private sector, perform business activities, and their competitive advantage is developed and well-established after obtaining a BSBA Degree. Moreover, the levels of opportunities faced by the BSBA graduates were not significantly affected by their demographic profile, educational background, and socio-economic profile, furthermore, it revealed that the opportunities faced in terms of career growth, security of tenure, and relationship in the work environment were significantly affected by their present status. The researchers recommend that the institution should prioritize the knowledge-bearing course for business ventures and job positions as well as promote the quality of education given in the field of business

Grasping the evolving landscape of management and organizations in Asia Pacific is vital for addressing the challenges and opportunities they both face in the region and beyond. To do so, we conduct a systematic literature review using a bibliometric analysis of the Asia Pacific Journal of Management (APJM), the leading journal for management and organizational research in Asia Pacific that is celebrating its 40th anniversary. A total of 915 articles published by APJM from 2001 to 2024 were retrieved from the Scopus database and subsequently subjected to a performance analysis of productivity (publications) and impact (citations) alongside a science mapping of knowledge (themes). This study reveals a steady increase in APJM publications and citations, underscoring the journal’s growing influence. The globalization of collaboration networks is a noteworthy trend, highlighting the interconnectedness of research efforts across borders. Major themes include cultural understanding and interpersonal networks, as well as the adaptability of organizations in emerging economies. Areas such as innovation, performance, and corporate governance highlight the importance of growth, competitiveness, and responsible management structures, while research on major Asian markets like China, India, and Thailand underscores the relevance of globalization and multinational strategies. The findings offer future directions in key areas such as emerging economies and institutional environments, relationship networks and social resilience, innovation and digital transformation, managing internationalization, and methodological innovation.
