The kinetics of transformation of isopentenols in the presence of the Nafion-H catalyst

Abstract

The kinetics of transformation of 3-methyl-l-buten-3-ol in the presence of the Nationt-I catalyst was studied. A comparison between the data obtained and those for the reaction catalyzed by sulfuric acid showed that under the same conditions, the macroscopic acidic properties of Nafion-H correspond to the catalytic activity of 8--15% sulfuric acid.
