Abstract:Axial Bianchi IX universes have compact, simply connected, homogeneous three-spaces and feature minimal symmetry breaking of the cosmological principle. We consider a positive cosmological constant, comoving dust and a mildly anisotropic expansion in the recent past,z < 6, which might be observable in the near future with the James Webb Space Telescope and the Vera Rubin Observatory. To this end we compute the direction dependent redshift and apparent luminosity of type 1a supernovae. To the memory of Vaugha… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
