“…As indicated by the results, FI has a positive and significant impact on ICU (β = 0.2520, p < .1), thus supporting H5. Similar results could be found in mentioned researches (Chen & Haley, 2010; Park & Kim, 2013). Hence, the findings suggest that the use of Facebook helps students to establish social capital, since it is easier and cheaper to maintain bonds (Donath & Boyd, 2004) and it also removes the hurdle, through its affordability, for those who are hesitant in communicating directly (Ellison et al., 2007).…”

“…Social networking sites provide a forum to interact and to get a feeling of association with the personal and social contacts (Valenzuela et al., 2009). Through researches, it has been seen that individuals devote notable time on their desirable social network expressing comparatively optimistic attitude (Chen & Haley, 2010) which would in turn impact the intention to continue using it, since attitude influences intention as evident through the theory of reasoned action (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975). Therefore, the hypothesis would be as follows: H 5 : Facebook intensity has a significant impact on the intention to continue using Facebook.…”

“…The association among FI and ICU is significant and positive (β=0.1619, P<0.1), suggesting that hypothesis (H6) is supported. Similar outcomes were obtained from research conducted by Park & Kim (2014) and Chen & Haley (2010). The results imply that higher FI fosters ICU.…”

“…Social networking sites present a platform for people to communicate and associate (Valenzuela et al, 2009). Chen & Haley (2010) suggest that people invest a substantial amount of time on such sites and express their attitudes. According to Fishbein & Ajzen (1975) this then affects their intention to continue using those social networks as attitude influences intention, the notion of a reasoned action being established.…”

“…Similar to the overwhelming popularity of Facebook and Twitter in the USA, SNSs have established a prominent presence in the digital landscape of China, which is an important emerging market with the world's largest internet population (Chen and Haley, 2010). According to the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC, 2010), 210 million people in China, or half of the country's internet users, were registered SNS users in June 2010.…”
