RESUMEN:En este trabajo se presenta el diseño, fabricación y caracterización de un micro-espectrómetro de transformada de Fourier implementado mediante guías de ondas planas. El dispositivo comprende un array de 32 interferómetros Mach-Zehnder con diferencias de caminos ópticos crecientes entre los brazos de los interferómetros, alcanzando una resolución de 0.1 nm en un rango espectral libre de 1.6 nm. Se han utilizado guías de onda de silicio en estructuras espirales en los brazos de los interferómetros para conseguir reducir el tamaño del dispositivo por debajo de 12 mm 2 .Palabras clave: Espectrómetro, Silicio, Transformada de Fourier. ABSTRACT:In this work we present the design, fabrication and characterization of a Fourier-Transform microspectrometer implemented with planar waveguides. The device comprises an array of 32 MachZehnder interferometers with increasing optical path differences between the arms of the interferometer, reaching a resolution of 0.1 nm in a free spectral range of 1.6 nm. Silicon waveguides in a spiral structure have been used in the arms of the interferometer, reducing the footprint of the device below 12 mm 2 .

A coherence imaging camera has been set up at Pilot-PSI. The system is to be used for imaging the plasma density through the Stark effect broadening of the H ␥ line. Local density values are then obtained by the Abel inversion of the measured interferometric fringe contrast. This report will present the instrument setup and proof-of-principle demonstration. The inverted spatial electron density profiles obtained near the cascaded arc source of Pilot-PSI in discharges with axial magnetic field of B = 0.4 T are compared with an independent measurement of electron density by Thomson scattering and good agreement is found.
