“…The magnetic susceptibility χ(T ) of the compact "µPt2" shown in fig. 2b exhibits in good approximation the behaviour of bulk platinum known from the literature [13]: At T 100 K the constant Pauli-Stoner susceptibility χ 0 is superimposed by a temperaturedependent contribution due to paramagnetic impurities. Fitting the low-temperature part of χ(T ) to the Brillouin function enables thus to determine χ 0 as well as the concentration x and the effective magnetic moment of these impurities which is in the range 5-8 µ B in our samples.…”
