Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to introduce and discuss the concept of the maps which preserve approximation. We show that if a operator on a normed space is an isometry then preserves all approximation property, every linear operator preserving approximation is an isometry multiplied by a constant.Mathematics Subject Classification: 41A65, 46B50, 46B20, 41A50
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
