Abstract:This paper describes an experimental measurement of temperatures at the free liquid interface of distilled water films falling vertically downwards on the outside surface of a copper tube heated internally by a countercurrent circulating liquid. An infrared radiometer was used for the temperature measurements. A prediction for these temperatures is made by solving numerically the governing equations of momentum, continuity and energy. Experimentally estimated temperature profiles were employed as the wall temp… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
