Abstract:CeIrIn 5 have been attracted by the superconductivity, field-induced transition at H * ∼ 30 T, and metamagnetic behavior in magnetization at H ′ m ∼ 42 T. We measured the electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, and high-field magnetization of single crystals of La x Ce 1−x IrIn 5 and CeIr(In 1−x X x) 5 (X=Cd, Sn) in order to investigate the substitution effect on the metamagnetic behavior.
