Abstract: Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a very common cause of low back pain and unilateral radiculopathy. This pathology is traditionally approached via interlaminotomy with variable amounts of bony extensions, such as partial or total facetectomy and disturbance of soft tissue structures.
