Abstract: Introduction: Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) , was first identified in 2012 in Saudi Arabia. Coronaviruses are a large family of enveloped, single-stranded RNA viruses that infect a number of different species, including humans.
