The Modern Current Sensors of Synthetic Magnetic Resin Part 2 - AC Current Sensor up to 2 000 amps

Abstract: The article presents previously unpublished results of the development of current sensors, designed on the basis of cold-cast possibilities of magnetic materials and their applications for measurement purposes in the field of electricity and power electronics. Listed are the fundamental characteristics of the magnetic alloy resin schematic draft sensor dI/dt of a core of magnetic material molded and the measurement results of the prototype produced industrially.

“…Basic sensor measurement was carried out by an accredited testing laboratory "Cejchovna elektroměrů" (Prague, Czech Republic) electricity at a frequency of 50 Hz in the measuring range from 1 A to 2 kA, divided into five zones (1-100 A, 100-250 A, 250-500 A, and 500-1 000A and 1 000-2 000 A). In each band of the ten measurements at discrete points calculated average value [3]. Subsequently these points using linear regression fit to a straight line for which it was intended regression equation y = f(x) and the value of R 2 of reliability.…”

“…For high frequencies may then constitute an inductive resistance, which can limit the current in the circuit. Coreless type sensor Rogowski coil (coil on glass or plastic collar), Hall sensor and a sensor with a core of magnetic resin [2] are other possibilities for indirect measurement of current.…”

“…Based resin developed its own magnetic workers Electro Technical Laboratory of the Department of Technical Subjects Faculty of Education University of Hradec Kralove special toroidal sensor for measuring large AC currents in order of frequency of 100 kHz [1][2][3]. Using the knowledge gained during the development and construction of transformer compensators for interference voltage DC power sources [4,5] for measuring large AC currents of current-compensated transformer is designed with direct measurement of the current passing through without any negative impact on his return waveform.…”
