Abstract:Galaxy interactions in groups can lead to intense starburst and activation of active galactic nuclei (AGN). The stripped gas from the outer disk can lead to star-forming clumps along the tidal tails or sometimes tidal dwarf galaxies. We investigate the impact of interaction on various galaxy properties, including morphology, star formation rates, and chemical composition in the galaxy group AM\,1054-325 using Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) data. We conduct a comprehensive spatially and spectrally res… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
