Abstract:We consider the motion of a rigid body in a bounded domain filled by viscous incompressible fluid. The fluid is described by the Navier-Stokes equations. We assume the Navier condition on the boundary of the body and the Dirichlet condition on the boundary of the domain. We give the global-in-time solvability result of the weak solution. The result allows a possibility of collisions of the body with the boundary of the domain.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
