The Multifunction Role of Tumour-Associated Mesenchymal Stem Cells and their Interaction with Immune Cells

Abstract: Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) are multipotent stromal cells that are present in the various parts of the body. MSCs tends to migrate towards inflamed regions and they are also seen to migrate to a tumour. The immunomodulatory properties of the MSCs were being studied for the past decade and it has been observed that these immunomodulatory properties of MSCs have been exploited by the cancer stoma.
