Abstract:Judgments about social groups are characterized by their position in a representational space defined by two axes, warmth and competence. We examined serial dependence (SD) in evaluations of warmth and competence while measuring participants’ electroencephalographic (EEG) activity, as a means to address the independence between these two psychological axes.
