Abstract: The bioaccumulation of environmental toxins as possible risk factors in the etiology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and parkinsonism-dementia complex (ALS/PDC) is studied in three foci of the Western Pacific: Guam, the Kii Peninsula, and West Papua New Guinea.
