The New Materials for Battery Electrode Prototypes

Abstract: In this article, we present the performance of Copper (Cu)/Graphene Nano Sheets (GNS) and C—π (Graphite, GNS, and Nitrogen-doped Graphene Nano Sheets (N—GNS)) as a new battery electrode prototype. The objectives of this research are to develop a number of prototypes of the battery electrode, namely Cu/GNS//Electrolyte//C—π, and to evaluate their respective performances. The GNS, N—GNS, and primary battery electrode prototypes (Cu/GNS/Electrolyte/C—π) were synthesized by using a modified Hummers method; the N-d… Show more

“…Importantly, the cycling performance of the RC separators was thoroughly assessed at 1 A g −1 in three commercial electrolytes for 1000 cycles. 55 The results demonstrated remarkable cycling stability and high capacity of the supercapacitor (Fig. 6a).…”

“…Some carbon-based electrodes, such as graphite electrodes, lack metal elements and possess inherent conductivity and lower manufacturing costs. However, the electrocatalytic activity of these carbon-based electrodes is considerably lower than that of their metal counterparts, resulting in higher power consumption [55,56]. Furthermore, these electrodes exhibit low mechanical strength and are vulnerable to physical damage and chemical erosion, leading to unstable sewage treatment outcomes and the need for frequent replacement.…”
