The BESIII experiment, a low-energy high-intensity frontier running in tau-charm energy region, provides good opportunity for the search of the exotic particles predicted in new physics models in dark sector scenario. Using data samples taken at the peak of J/ψ, ψ(2S ), and ψ(3770), some of the highlights including the search for the dark photon using initial state radiation reactions e + e − → γ ISR e + e − and e + e − → γ ISR µ + µ − , the search for CP-odd light Higgs boson A 0 in J/ψ → γA 0 , and the search for invisible decays of η and η ′ are presented.
