The NMR Study of the Latex Extracted from Brosimum Parinarioides

Abstract: In this work we used high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to identify the major compounds present in the Natural latex named Leite de Amapá, which is extracted from Brosimum paranarioides tree. To do it 1D 1 H and 13 C NMR spectra and DEPT techniques were employed. The analysis of spectral data showed that this latex is principally constituted by cisisoprene, saturated and unsaturated fatty acids and triacylglycerides esters.
