Abstract:In this work we used high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to identify the major compounds present in the Natural latex named Leite de Amapá, which is extracted from Brosimum paranarioides tree. To do it 1D 1 H and 13 C NMR spectra and DEPT techniques were employed. The analysis of spectral data showed that this latex is principally constituted by cisisoprene, saturated and unsaturated fatty acids and triacylglycerides esters.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
