The Nolan Index: A Quantitative Measure of List Similarities

Abstract: Several ethnobiological studies have used the Jaccard Index, a qualitative, binary measure, to compare group similarities and differences in lists of plant and animal species, medicinals, foods, cultural utilities, and so on.
