Abstract: The term "Old Malaya" refers to the Malay states of the eastern coast of the Peninsular (Kedah, Perlis, Kelantan and Terengganu) and the "New Malaya" to the states on the west coast (Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Pahang)
