The pathology and biology of uremic pneumonitis

Abstract: Uremic pneumonitis is included in the "adult respiratory distress syndrome". Diffuse alveolo-capillary damage, interstitial and intraalveolar edema, widespread atelectases, alveolar haemorrhages and pulmonary hyaline membranes are characteristic but not pathognomonic findings in uremic pneumonitits.
