“…Chronic corticosterone treatment suppresses the expression of 5-HT 1A receptor mRNA selectively in the dentate gyrus (Meijer and De Kloet, 1994) and induces a reduction of [ 3 H]8-OH-DPAT binding that is confined to the dentate gyrus and the oriens and lacunosum moleculare layers of CA4 (Mendelson and McEwen, 1992).
