Prior studies supported the longitudinal stability and inter-parent agreement of the measure (Putnam et al, 2006), as well as predictive validity from and to similar infant and childhood measures (Putnam, Rothbart, & Gartstein, 2008), construct validity via connections to behavior problems (Gartstein, Putnam, & Rothbart, 2012), and convergence with laboratory measures (Stepien-Nycz, Rostek, Bialecka-Pikul, & Bialek, 2017).
