“…On the other hand, the dimension termed perfectionistic concerns corresponds to concerns about errors, doubts about actions taken, and excessive self-criticism (Stoeber, 2018). Past research has found associations between perfectionistic concerns and negative sport outcomes, such as the frustration of basic psychological needs (Jowett et al, 2016), the elicitation of negative emotional responses (Pineda-Espejel et al, 2019), increased extrinsic motivation (Madigan et al, 2016; Oliveira et al, 2015), burnout (Gustafsson et al, 2016), pre-competitive anxiety (Freire et al, 2020), and decreases in team cohesion levels (Nascimento Junior, Freire et al, 2020). Despite a clearly demonstrated and significant role of perfectionism in the cognitive, affective, and behavioral experiences of athletes that can directly enhance or interfere with sports performance (Hafez et al, 2018; Hill et al, 2018, 2019; Stoeber, 2018; Stoeber et al, 2017), few investigators have yet studied the effect of perfectionism on group processes among youth athletes, particularly with respect to team cohesion and group conflict, which are considered to be group elements that directly affect team sport performance (Eys et al, 2018; Eys & Brawley, 2018; Holt et al, 2012; Paradis et al, 2014b).…”

“…This shows that team cohesion will be more likely to increase with leadership supporting the TB control program. Leadership style within the organization has a significant role in team cohesion (Nascimento-Júnior et al, 2019). Good team cohesion will make its members have the same understanding and agreement on the vision and mission of the TB control program.…”
