The Prevalence of Temperate Climates in Capital Cities across Africa: The African Union, the African Diaspora, and Africa’s Development

Abstract: This study examines the prevalence of temperate climates in capital cities/regions across Africa. Sixteen (27.6%) of the 58 capital cities/regions in Africa have elevation levels of 1000 meters or higher, ranging from 1011 meters to 2405 meters. Of 40 capital cities/regions in Africa, 17 (42.5%) have very pleasant average annual maximum daytime temperatures ranging from 73.04 degrees to 83.12 degrees.
