Abstract:Objective: Inborn errors of metabolism (IEM) are a rare, inherited, heterogeneous group of diseases that are mostly symptomatic in the pediatric age group. Late diagnosis and delays in intervention can result in acute metabolic decompensation, progressive neurological damage, or death.
