Abstract:Biodiesel is a synthetic fuel usually produced by the transesterification reaction. This study was undertaken in order to monitor the kinetics of the transesterification reaction between soybean oil and methanol catalyzed by KOH and determine when the reaction reached chemical equilibrium.
