Abstract: Background: GGPS1(geranylgeranyl diphosphate synthase 1) is a member of the prenyltransferase family. Abnormal expression of GGPS1 can disrupt the balance between protein farnesylation and geranylgeranylation, thereby affecting a variety of cellular physiologic and pathological processes.
