The Prognostic Value of GNG7 in Colorectal Cancer and Its Relationship With Immune Infiltration

Abstract: Background: G Protein Subunit Gamma 7 (GNG7) is an important gene that regulates cell proliferation and induces apoptosis. However, the correlation between GNG7 expression and immune infiltration as well as patient prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear. Methods: The GNG7 expression differences between tumor tissues and normal tissues were explored via the Oncomine database, Tumor Immune Estimation Resource (TIMER) site and UALCAN database. Then, the influence of GNG7 on clinical prognosis were ev… Show more

“…G protein subunit γ7 (Gng7), a member of the G protein family, was moderately to highly correlated with the degree of in ltration of CD4 + T cells in the peripheral blood of patients with colorectal cancer. Additionally, GNG7 expression positively correlated with the degree of in ltration of B cells, macrophages, neutrophils and dendritic cells (37). Gnb3 encodes the G protein β3 subunit and is associated with obesity, diabetes,…”

“…GNG7 prevented tumorigenesis in lung adenocarcinoma cells by suppressing E2F transcription factor 1 ( 38 ). GNG7 was a promising prognostic biomarker and was related to immune cell infiltration in colorectal cancer ( 39 ). Overall, these GRGs were closely associated with tumor progression, which merits further investigation.…”

“…Of the other variants in genes which showed an up-regulated differential expression between E. coli (+) and E. coli (−) cows, EBF1 and EYA3 are both involved in regulation of gene transcription. GNG7 encodes guanine nucleotide-binding protein γ−7, whose expression level was associated with the infiltration of multiple immune cells into human colorectal cancer samples [ 65 ]. Little information is available concerning FAM129A (also called NIBAN1 ), although expression is up-regulated as part of the integrated stress response [ 66 ].…”
