The Pseudo-Protic Ionic Liquids TOAH+Cl- and TODAH+Cl- as Carriers for Facilitated Transport of In(III) from HCl Solutions
Abstract:The behaviour of the pseudo-protic ionic liquids TOAH+Cl- and TODAH+Cl- in the facilitated transport of indium(III) from HCl solutions is described. Metal transport is investigated as a function of different variables: hydrodynamic conditions, HCl concentration in the feed phase and indium and carrier concentrations. The experimental data are used to model both transport systems and to estimate diffusional parameters associated to them.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
