“…Since the PID‐5 was published, a vast body of research on its psychometric properties has increased exponentially (Al‐Dajani, Gralnick & Bagby, ; Krueger & Markon, ). The PID‐5 has also been recently translated into a number of different languages including Italian (Fossati, Krueger, Markon, Borroni & Maffei, ), Dutch (De Fruyt, De Clercq, De Bolle, Wille, Markon & Krueger, ; De Clercq, De Fruyt, De Bolle, Van Hiel, Markon & Krueger, ), German (Zimmermann, Altenstein, Krieger et al ., ), French (Roskam, Galdiolo, Hansenne et al ., ), Danish (Bach, Maples‐Keller, Bo & Simonsen, ) and Arabic (Al‐Attiyah, Megreya, Alrashidi, Dominguez‐Lara & Al‐Sheerawi, ). Although the majority of the above studies were conducted in western countries, the last study mentioned draws attention to the relevance of the study of cultural influence on psychopathology, particularly on PD whose diagnostic criteria refer explicitly to patterns of inner experience and behavior that diverge plainly from what is expected of the individual's culture.…”
