The pump fluence and wavelength-dependent ultrafast carrier dynamics and optical nonlinear absorption in black phosphorus nanosheets

Abstract: Abstract Pump fluence and probe wavelength-dependent ultrafast carrier dynamics and optical nonlinear absorption in black phosphorus nanosheets are investigated by transient absorption spectroscopy and open-aperture Z scan techniques. The decay time becomes longer with larger wavelengths under pump wavelengths of both 400 nm and 800 nm excitation. For 800 nm excitation, pump fluence-dependent lifetime shows complex behaviors, which might be due to the competition between the li… Show more

“…Through a standard specimen, pump and probe beams are overlapped spatially. By using optical Kerr signal from the SiO 2 substrate, we affirmed the group-velocity dispersion of the white-light continuum [32]. By scanning electron microscopy (SEM, ZEISS ULTRA 55, Oberkochen, Ge we observed the Microstructure features of Ag@ Ti3C2 hybrids and Ti3C2.…”

“…As been mentioned, BP exhibits tunable direct-bandgap feature [ 75 ]. By manipulating layer number, the absorption rate of electromagnetic wave significantly increases and the absorption wavelength can be broadened to the full range of absorption spectrum [ 24 , 25 , 61 , 76 ]. When number of layers is reduced to one, phosphorene shows a high absorption rate in the ultraviolet region [ 42 ].…”

“…In addition, 2D BP possesses a much larger specific surface area (~ 2630 m 2 g −1 ) than graphene due to the puckered structure and increased layer distance. Therefore, 2D BP has been intensively studied and widely applied in various fields, such as ultrafast laser [ 24 ], bio-photonics [ 25 ], energy storage devices [ 26 ], optoelectronics [ 27 ], solar cell [ 28 ], and nanosensors [ 29 ].…”
