The purification of plutonium by a thenoyltrifluoro‐acetone (T.T.A.) process

Abstract

The extraction of plutonium by T.T.A. in the presence of impurities is discussed, and data are presented for the extraction of uranium, zirconium, ruthenium, iron, and chromium. A block flow‐sheet for the purification of 1 g. of plutonium from 10 g. of uranium and one curie of zirconium is given.
