The quality of manual chest compressions during transport – effect of the mattress assessed by dual accelerometers

Abstract: CPR quality was good during transportation in general. However, the results suggest that the feedback system improves CPR quality. Dual accelerometer measurements show, on the other hand, that the mattress effect may be a clinically relevant impediment to high quality CPR.

“…Contrary to the authors' assertion that elevated levels of CRP are associated with generalized inflammation and SLE disease activity, it is well recognized that CRP is often normal or only mildly elevated in patients with active SLE [3,4]. There are many hypotheses concerning this phenomenon, but the explanation is still unknown.…”

“…Unfortunately, even health professionals have difficulty performing effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Chest compression is often too shallow, compression ratio is inadequate, and hands-off time is too long [1,3,4]. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation feedback devices might be an option for rescuers to increase CC efficiency [2,4].…”

“…Prehospital emergency medicine involves the acute phase of any pathology. Numerous studies have focused on the possibility of prehospital emergencies (PE) teams performing certain therapeutic procedures during the patient's transfer to a hospital center, [1][2][3] maintaining both their clinical safety and the professional's safety. So, in prior studies, we have analyzed whether or not it was feasible to intubate a critical patient in a moving ambulance and any potentially Therapeutic measures in a moving ambulance: Qualitative study of professional opinions regarding prehospital emergencies adverse events.…”
