“…These findings reinforce the argument that interventions should not only attempt to reduce job demands but to also strengthen job resources in the workplace (Knight et al, 2017;Nielsen et al, 2017). This is important in recognising that an individual's performance and wellbeing is the result of numerous interactions between the individual and the system that they are situated in (Teoh, Hassard, & Kinman, 2020). “…Job resources, in comparison, are expected to influence more strongly clinical care via work engagement, which is associated with better decision-making and attention,60 61 as well as more extra role behaviours 62. All of these are associated with better patient care 63.
