Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman pengetahuan spasial dapat mempengaruhi kinerja yang berhubungan dengan tugas-tugas akademik terutama matematika, membaca dan IPA Studi dari Guay & McDaniel (1977) dan Bishop (1980) menemukan bahwa kemampuan spasial mempunyai hubungan positif dengan matematika pada anak usia sekolah. Studi dari Shermann (1980) juga menemukan bahwa matematika dan berpikir spasial mempunyai korelasi yang positif pada anak usia sekolah, baik pada kemampuan spasial taraf rendah maupun taraf tinggi.…”
