Abstract:Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a condition of obstruction/narrowing of the upper airway during sleep, which results in cessation of breathing for some time. OSA can be experienced in all age groups, and as many as 56% reported having symptoms of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS). Smoking can cause abnormal changes in the upper respiratory tract, both histologically and physiologically.
